Sustainable textiles crafted for a better place to be

Since 2015, Almedahls has operated CO₂-neutral production powered by renewable, fossil-free energy. Sustainability is not a separate programme we add at the end. It is built into how we develop and manufacture textiles for public interiors.

We document our work through independent certifications, clear processes and measurable targets. For architects, interior designers and procurement teams, that means materials you can specify with confidence.

How we work

Every product we develop is evaluated against our environmental standards before it reaches the market. We select materials that comply with current legislation, test for harmful substances and document performance throughout the product lifecycle.

For architects and procurement teams, that means less time verifying compliance and more confidence in what you specify.

Five Zero Green

Five Zero Green is our programme for responsible development and production. It covers five areas, each with a clear ambition: zero waste, zero emissions, zero harmful chemicals, zero accidents and zero tolerance for unethical behaviour.

The programme aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030. It guides decisions we make, from material sourcing and energy use to logistics and product development.

Five areas
where we make
a difference

These focus areas guide our daily work towards a more sustainable textile industry.

Energy

Our production is CO₂-neutral and powered by renewable, fossil-free energy.

Water

We work to minimise water use through controlled processes and continuous improvements.

Air

We contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases, ensuring our production processes have minimal impact on air quality.

Raw materials

We follow REACH and apply additional internal requirements where relevant. We prioritise raw materials with lower impact on health and the environment.

Waste

Our quality approach and upcycling efforts help reduce waste. Remaining waste is handled responsibly and, where possible, recovered as energy or recycled.

Certified for trust and transparency

Our sustainability work is verified by independent certification systems. Many of our fabrics meet the requirements of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, confirming they are tested for harmful substances and safe for human use.

Almedahls holds an EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing us in the top 3% of companies rated within the textile manufacturing industry. This recognition reflects our continuous progress in responsible production and ethical business practice. Read more about EcoVadis here

These certifications reflect measurable actions, transparent processes and our long-term commitment to responsible materials, safe production and reduced environmental impact.
