WHAT WE STAND FOR

This is who we are

At Almedahls, three values guide how we create, communicate and develop.

Nordic

Our Nordic roots allow us to create or communicate with purity, lightness, warmth, and playfulness as our guiding stars.

Function

Our products and solutions will always have a purpose and relevance, enriching their environment and the human experience.

In motion

We understand that the business that does not evolve goes backwards. That is why Almedahls is committed to maintaining forward momentum.

Our Journey

Forward with confidence

Our story begins in 1846, when Hans H. Wesslau from Gothenburg established a textile factory in a valley outside the city. He named it Almedahls, a tribute to his daughter Alma and the valley (dal) where the factory stood.
Today, our head office and development are based in Kinna, Sweden.
  • 1846. Founded as a weaving mill in western Sweden
  • First 100 years. Established a reputation as skilled producers of woven linen
  • 1950s to 1990s. Expanded into cotton and cotton and linen blends. Developed expertise in dyeing, printing and coating
  • Today. A group with three business areas. Contract Interiors delivers textile solutions for public spaces. Solar Fabric develops technical sun protection fabrics. Almedahls Home carries our pattern heritage into everyday spaces.
