Material

A surface that reveals its depth up close

A bouclé yarn gives WABI its character. Seven threads in harmonised shades are twisted together and held by fine warp threads in a subtle grid, creating a structured surface that remains light and fluid. Its soft, natural drape gently filters daylight while keeping contours and movement visible.

More privacy while keeping a sense of openness

In open interiors, WABI can zone functions without fully closing them off, softening large expanses of glass and marking a visual break between areas that still feels connected.

It suits wave systems that let the bouclé structure and fluid drape read clearly across the full height of the installation.

Its structure also carries a measured sound absorption value of αw 0.10, a useful addition to the space rather than a dedicated acoustic function.

Ten colours, blended to work together

WABI is available in ten muted, natural tones. Its melange surface combines easily with a wide range of interior colours, making it well suited to layered and more complex colour schemes.

Each colourway blends several harmonising shades, creating subtle tonal variation rather than a flat, uniform colour.

WABI / ZEN

Same colours, different levels of transparency

WABI and ZEN are coordinated hanging textiles within the Almedahls Texture Concept. With a shared colour palette, they offer a cohesive solution for projects requiring different levels of transparency and privacy.

INSTALLATION

WABI adapts to the room's needs

With a width of 305 cm, WABI can be installed horizontally for finished curtain heights of up to 280 cm, eliminating the need for vertical seams. The fabric can also be rotated 90 degrees and installed vertically, allowing for greater curtain lengths, different window dimensions, and curtain constructions.

It is flame retardant and OEKO-TEX® certified, making it straightforward to specify without extra treatment.
